Saw the A24 movie Warfare. Two Bradley’s leveling the mud house was the best recruitment ad they could’ve put out. Lived up to the hype
Benning School for Boys. Good spot to be in, decent surrounding area. Columbus is sweet in some spots, but rough in others. You'll usually get a briefing regarding which spots to avoid. For younger soldiers, Auburn is about an hour away and Atlanta 1.5 hrs. Not bad. Fell asleep in the bushes one night outside the piedmont hospital. Absolute movie. 5/5 best place on earth.
Only ever met great lads here. Lots of american heroes. Work hours seemed to be the major complaint for everyone though. But the Army is pretty much geared towards supporting combat arms branches, and Infantry is the most 'hooah' one there is, so you'll likely have a good time combined with intense training and a great community.
